Congratulations to Jake Rogers, drafted to the Gold Coast SUNS at pick #14 in last night’s AFL Draft.
Jake played over 100 games as a Broady junior, and made his senior debut for the Cats in 2021 as a 16 year old. He’s one of the hardest working players we’ve ever seen. Since making his senior debut, Jake’s footy has gone from strength to strength – U18 All Australian, a major part of the Allies team winning the U18 national championship and a few games with the premiership winning SUNS VFL side in 2023 alone.
His drive to be the best he can be is outstanding, and it is this work ethic combined with his natural talent that has put him at the top of the draft group in 2023.
Everyone at the club is so proud of what Jake’s been able to achieve and we’re ecstatic for him that he’s able to reach this goal.
